Ondersteuning Dymo in ACT!
Below are the instructions for installing the DYMO LabelWriter Add-In
for ACT! The DYMO Label Software (DLS) is compatible with ACT! 5/2000,
ACT! 6, and ACT! 2005/2006/2007/2008. If you have any other version of
ACT! installed.
Instructions for ACT! 5/2000 & ACT! 6
Configuring DLS 6.x or
later to Work with ACT!
Open DLS.
Click on the File menu and select Add-In Manager.
Choose ACT! from the Registered Add-Ins drop-down list. Click the Setup
button.
Select the version of ACT! you have installed and click the Setup
button. Click OK to the Information dialog box that appears, confirming
DLS has been configured to work with ACT. Click on the Close button
located in the Add-In Manager window and exit DLS.
Integrating the DYMO
LabelWriter Add-In into ACT!
Open ACT!
Click on the Tools menu and select Customize ACT! Contacts Window.
Click the Custom Commands tab
Click the New button.
Fill in the fields exactly as listed below:
· Command name: Dymo Label
· Command line: C:\Program Files\Dymo Label\Dymolbl.exe /ACT!
· Start in: < Leave this field blank>
· Description: Print Contact Labels
· Tooltip text: LabelWriter
· Menu text: &Print Labels
· Run: Normal
Click on the Icon button.
For the Icon file, browse to: C:\Program Files\Dymo Label\
Select the file Dymolbl.exe and click Open.
Select the Dymo Label icon located under the heading Icons Available
from Select File and click OK.
Click the Apply button located in the Customize ACT! Contacts Window.
Adding the DYMO Label
Software Icon to the ACT! Toolbar
Click the Toolbars tab in the Customize ACT! Contacts Window.
Choose Custom Command from the Toolbars Categories drop-down menu.
Choose the Print Labels command from the Custom Commands drop-down
menu. Click the New Toolbar button and click OK to the new toolbar
name. A very small window will appear. Click and drag this window onto
a blank space on in the ACT! toolbar. This will create a new custom
toolbar. Click here to see an image of this.
Click the small LabelWriter icon that appears next to the Print Labels
command. While holding down the left mouse button, drag the LabelWriter
icon to the new custom toolbar you created earlier. Click here to see

Adding the DYMO Label
Software Menu Option.
Click the Menus tab in the Customize ACT! Contacts Window.
Choose Custom Command from the Categories drop-down menu.
Find the Print Labels command.
Under the Menu list, find the Wr&ite option.
Click on the Print Labels command located on the left and drag it into
the Write Menu. Click here to see an image of this.
When finished, click the Apply button and then click OK in the
Customize ACT! Contacts Window.
Exit ACT! and reboot your computer, the ACT! Add-In has successfully
been installed. You will be able to print your contact information from
ACT! by clicking on the DYMO icon that appears in the ACT! toolbar.
Instructions for ACT!
2005/2006/2007
Note: You will need DLS version 7 (earlier versions of DLS are not
compatible with ACT! 2005/2006/2007). Click here to be redirected to

Install DLS 7 after ACT! has been installed. The DYMO Add-In for ACT!
is installed automatically by the DLS installation program.
After DLS 7 has been completely installed, a Print DYMO Label option
should appear in the Tools menu in ACT!
Instructions for ACT! 2008
The LabelWriter Add-In requires an updated installer to properly
integrate with ACT! 2008. Download a the LabelWriter Add-In with ACT!
2008 here: http://www.actsoftware.org/demos/Dymo_ACT_addin.zip
Adding the DYMO icon to
the toolbar in ACT! 2005/2006/2007/2008
In ACT! go to Tools > Customize > Menus and Toolbars.
Click on the Commands Tab.
Under the Categories heading, select Tools.
Under the Commands heading, scroll down until you see Print DYMO Label.
With the left mouse button, click and hold down on the Print DYMO Label
icon.
While holding down on the left mouse button, drag the Print DYMO Label
icon up to the toolbar in ACT!. You will now be able to print your
contact information from ACT! by either clicking on the DYMO icon that
appears in the ACT! Tools menu or the DYMO icon that appears in the
ACT! toolbar.
